After all applicable brokerage fees and commission splits have been deducted, the remaining amount is your commission income.

Remember: Your commission check is not necessarily the same as your take-home pay. If you are operating as an independent contractor, taxes generally are not withheld from your commission. Be sure to set aside a portion of each commission for federal and state taxes and other tax obligations.

At AXEN Realty, there is NO! traditional brokerage commission split. Instead of giving up a percentage of every commission, AXEN offers a simple fee structure designed to help you keep more of what you earn.

Many brokerages charge agents a variety of fees before they receive their final commission. Depending on the brokerage, these may include

• Team fees 20%

• Broker commission splits 15%-20%

• Mentorship or training fees 15%-20%

• E&O insurance $80.00 per file

• Transaction fees $300.00

• Office or desk fees $75-$100 per month

• Tech fees $50-$75
